Nude II | Fine Art Paper Print | Gyan Samara

A quiet pose becomes a tapestry of color in Nude II, part of The Painted Portrait Project. Seated on an intricately patterned rug, the figure folds forward, resting his head against his arms. Fine strokes of turquoise, rose, violet, and gold follow the contours of his body, giving stillness a vibrant inner movement. The pale wall offers a gentle counterpoint to the richly worked figure and rug. Created with acrylic markers on heavyweight paper, the original measures 22 × 30 inches. The composition grew from a photographic session in the sitter’s home, where familiar surroundings became the setting for an intimate portrait.

Prints are acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
