Floral Composition 1 (2022) | Fine Art Paper Print | Gyan Samara

An imagined garden spills from a turquoise vase against a luminous golden-yellow background. Coral blossoms, violet petals, tiny blue flowers, and intricately striped leaves gather into an elaborate arrangement, with each bloom offering its own pattern and personality. Working from a digital photograph, Gyan Samara reinvented the flowers through playful drawing, building a bouquet filled with dots, looping lines, and unexpected color. Created while grieving the loss of his Great Dane, da Vinci, the painting offered a sustaining daily focus, allowing moments of enjoyment and discovery within a difficult time. The original, now sold, was created in 2022 with acrylic markers on heavyweight paper and measures 40 × 30 inches.

Prints are acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
