Dog Portrait Commission Example

An example of Gyan Samara’s expressive dog portraits.

Portrait of Susie, circa 2021–2022. Oil on panel, 16 × 16 inches.

While living in Chicago, I photographed Susie for this commissioned portrait. I chose a shortlist of photographs that captured her personality and shared them with her owners, who selected the image I used as the basis for the painting.

Commission example. Original painting availability remains to be confirmed.
