A quiet farm track leads toward an island of trees beneath a lavender-blue sky scattered with luminous white clouds. Turquoise greens, golden grasses, and rhythmic rows of corn carry the eye into the distance, capturing the spaciousness of rural Illinois in high summer. Painted on location along a remote gravel road between soybean and cornfields in Beecher, this was one of two paintings Gyan Samara created at the site. Broad, expressive strokes preserve the pleasure of standing beneath an open sky, far beyond the bustle of the city. The original was painted in oils on birch panel and measures 24 × 24 inches.

Prints are acid- and lignin-free and made to last.

For greater clarity of painted details, we recommend 50 × 50 cm (approximately 19.7 × 19.7 inches) or 70 × 70 cm (approximately 27.6 × 27.6 inches). Both receive the printer’s dark-green resolution rating.

A larger 100 × 100 cm (approximately 39.4 × 39.4 inches) option is also available and receives the printer’s light-green resolution rating. Fine details may appear softer at this size, particularly when viewed up close. This enlarged size has not been physically proofed by the artist.
