About the Painting
A violet-blue road sweeps through brilliant wetlands, its golden centerline leading toward a quiet stand of trees. Emerald greens, coral grasses, and bright yellow foliage gather around the curve, while expressive marks give the landscape a lively rhythm. Painted around September 22, 2015, this scene revisits one of Gyan Samara’s favorite viewpoints at Chain O’Lakes State Park in Illinois. Returning to the same bend offered fresh possibilities each time: another arrangement of color, another shift of light, another way to remember a familiar place.
Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish, designed to resist scratches, cracking, and warping.
- Vibrant, long-lasting colors printed with water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection.
- Stretched over a solid wooden support frame from renewable sources, 4 cm deep.
Available in 20 × 20 cm, 30 × 30 cm, 50 × 50 cm, and 70 × 70 cm. The preferred size is 50 × 50 cm (approximately 19.7 × 19.7 inches). For a larger statement, 70 × 70 cm (approximately 27.6 × 27.6 inches) is also available. These sizes fall within Printumo’s dark-green quality range. The printer’s assessment is a guide rather than a guarantee of sharpness; fine grasses and individual marks may appear softer when larger prints are viewed closely.
Room images are illustrative and may not show the artwork at its actual scale. Please review the selected canvas dimensions and framing options before ordering. Colors may vary slightly between your screen and the finished print. This reproduction captures the appearance of the original marks without reproducing their raised physical texture. Open edition prints are not individually hand signed or numbered.
Offered as an open edition canvas print, this landscape brings vibrant color and the quiet promise of a road through nature to a living room, study, or reading corner. Explore Gyan Samara’s original paintings and current studio work at www.gyansamara.com.
