The Winding Road, Chain O’Lakes (September 22, 2015) | Canvas Print | Gyan Samara

A lavender-pink road curves through brilliant wetlands, drawing the eye toward a distant woodland beneath billowing clouds. Crimson grasses, turquoise reeds, and luminous greens turn a familiar park road into a landscape alive with movement. Painted on location on September 22, 2015, this work captures a favorite stopping place at Chain O’Lakes State Park in Illinois. From a circular pull-off where Gyan Samara often returned to paint, the view follows the road arriving from the park entrance, with lush wetlands stretching to either side and denser woodland gathering to the right. The original painting measures 24 × 36 inches on panel.

Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish, designed to resist scratches, cracking, and warping.

For those who prioritize clarity, we recommend the 40 × 60 cm size (approximately 15.7 × 23.6 inches) or the smaller 20 × 30 cm and 30 × 45 cm options. These fall within Printumo’s dark-green quality range. Dimensions here are listed as height × width.

Larger options of 50 × 75 cm, 55 × 85 cm, and 60 × 90 cm (approximately 23.6 × 35.4 inches) are also available. These fall within Printumo’s light-green quality range. Fine marks, grasses, and distant foliage may appear softer when viewed closely, particularly at the largest size. The printer’s rating is a guide rather than a guarantee of sharpness.
