Portrait with Green Eyes

Green eyes hold the viewer’s attention above a face built from vivid passages of coral, pink, crimson, and golden orange. Pale highlights move across the cheeks and nose, while vertical blue and burgundy marks create a richly patterned background. Created for The Painted Portrait Project from a photograph shared by a participating model, this work explores the intimacy of a closely cropped face. The steady gaze and densely layered marks give the portrait a presence that feels both immediate and quietly reflective.
