The Story Behind the Painting
This location in the middle of Chain O’Lakes State Park has been one of my most favorite locations to paint. This park is located in northern Illinois about 10 minutes from the Wisconsin boarder. Pink Clouds and Blue Clouds were painted over a weekend on a Saturday and again on a Sunday both reflects the shifting color and atmosphere in the sky. The sky becomes the focus as expressive marks bring warmth and movement to the landscape.
