About the Painting
An intimate moment unfolds through intricate, expressive marks in Nude II, part of The Painted Portrait Project. Seated on a richly patterned rug, the figure rests his head against his folded arms. Fine strokes of turquoise, rose, violet, and gold follow the body’s contours, bringing movement and luminosity to a quiet pose. The pale wall gives the figure and surrounding patterns room to breathe. Based on photographs Gyan Samara took in the sitter’s home, the original was created with acrylic markers on heavyweight paper and measures 22 × 30 inches.
Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish, designed to resist scratches, cracking, and warping.
- Vibrant, long-lasting colors printed with water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection.
- Stretched over a solid wooden support frame from renewable sources, 4 cm deep.
Room images are illustrative and may not show the artwork at its actual scale. Please review the selected canvas dimensions and framing options before ordering. Colors may vary slightly between your screen and the finished print. This reproduction captures the original’s drawn marks; the canvas contributes its own surface texture. Open edition prints are not individually hand signed or numbered.
Offered as an open edition canvas print, Nude II brings intricate color and a contemplative presence to a bedroom, private study, or intimate living space. The original remains in the artist’s personal collection and is available for purchase, framed with a yellow border and museum glass. The original’s framing is not included with this canvas print.
