Green Field (2017) | Gyan Samara
A luminous pasture unfolds in yellow and turquoise, framed by deep blue and emerald trees beneath a soft lavender sky. Fine, restless marks ripple through the grasses, while sweeping strokes give the woodland a gentle sway. A rustic fence anchors the foreground, inviting the eye into the open field beyond. Painted over several days beside a backcountry road in Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, with umbrellas sheltering the work through passing rain, Green Field holds the quiet beauty that made me return.
