About the Painting
Original painting: Sold. Open-edition reproduction offered in this listing.
Golden clouds gather above a dark tree line, their peach and lavender edges glowing against an expansive blue sky. Thin diagonal trails cross the open space, adding a delicate rhythm above the billowing forms. Inspired by photographs Gyan Samara took in Lula, Georgia, this painting belongs to a September 2024 series exploring the drama of sunset clouds. Throughout his travels, the artist has collected photographs of skies, returning to cloud painting for its absorbing, calming qualities. The original was painted in oils on canvas and measures approximately 20 × 20 inches.
Prints are acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
- The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
- Textured matte surface enhances depth without losing clarity.
- Framed options feature a handmade wooden frame from Italy.
For greater clarity of painted details, we recommend 50 × 50 cm (approximately 19.7 × 19.7 inches), which receives the printer’s dark-green resolution rating.
Larger options are available at 70 × 70 cm (approximately 27.6 × 27.6 inches) and 100 × 100 cm (approximately 39.4 × 39.4 inches). These receive the printer’s light-green resolution rating. Fine details may appear softer at these larger sizes, particularly when viewed up close. These enlarged sizes have not been physically proofed by the artist. Measurements and inch conversions are approximate; consult the selected product option for exact dimensions.
Room images are illustrative and may not show the artwork at its actual scale. Please review the selected print dimensions, frame, and mat options before ordering. Colors may vary slightly between your screen and the finished print. This reproduction captures the appearance of the original’s brushwork rather than its physical paint texture. Open edition prints are not individually hand signed or numbered.
Offered as an open edition paper print, this work brings luminous color and the spacious calm of an evening sky to a living room, bedroom, or quiet reading corner. Explore Gyan Samara’s original paintings and current studio work at www.gyansamara.com.
