Burning Bush

Created in Georgia, Burning Bush captures a woodland scene alive with restless color. Sweeping oil pastel marks send golden yellow and fiery orange foliage dancing upward, while violet branches curve across the composition, drawing the eye through the trees. Quick, flickering strokes gather into a luminous canopy, set against passages of turquoise, emerald, and deep blue. The layered marks give the landscape a pulsing rhythm, evoking the rustle of leaves and sunlight trembling through branches. It is a moment in nature remembered through movement, where the woodland seems to glow from within.
