Materials and Painting Process
Gyan Samara works across oil paint, acrylics, pigment sticks, oil pastels, and collage, using layered color and a variety of mark-making techniques. Since 2014, he has increasingly explored adding, removing, and scoring paint to develop richly textured surfaces.
